Description

MM.1S (Multiple Myeloma CDX Model) 

The MM.1S multiple myeloma line was derived from plasma cell leukemia. Unlike its resistant counterpart, MM.1S is glucocorticoid-sensitive. It retains plasma cell biology, including immunoglobulin secretion. MM.1S is a widely used model for studying therapeutic response in multiple myeloma.

Applications: 
MM.1S supports studies of glucocorticoid-based therapies in multiple myeloma. Researchers use it to compare with resistant lines for mechanism-of-resistance studies. It is applied in biomarker discovery and therapeutic testing. Its defined biology makes it a standard myeloma model.
