Species Immunophenotyping Guide

A Champions Infographic

Flow Cytometry is a powerful method that can be used for immunophenotyping various immune cell subsets. These immune cell subsets exist across multiple species, however, sometimes their CD marker classification changes from species to species.

Therefore, it is important to understand the immune cell subsets and how they may vary across species as you begin testing in preclinical, toxicological, and clinical stages. It is also important to research your specific antibody clone of interest and the potential cross-reactivity of each antibody when designing your flow cytometry panels.

Use our guide to identify the primary immune cell subset phenotypes in different species commonly used across preclinical research and discovery.
